About Ecoconstruct

Building environmentally friendly homes doesn't have to cost more

“I have been building and renovating quality homes since 1988, always making sure that I work the right way as opposed to the easy way. I place the same high demands on all those who work for me.

Long before eco and green became mainstream I was building homes that took the natural environment into account, from natural lighting and warmth all the way through to installing solar panels.

Something I learned is that building environmentally friendly homes doesn’t have to cost more. If you include ongoing costs, it can save you a significant amount of money.”

How we build

Eco friendly building, without the extra cost

David has built with natural light, warmth and solar power in mind since long before eco became mainstream. These are the steps the Ministry for the Environment recommends for a healthier, more efficient home.

Warm in winter, cool in summer

Good insulation keeps the temperature steady all year.

Sun and natural light

Windows placed to bring in more sun and daylight.

Healthy materials

Building materials that don’t use or give off harmful chemicals.

Lower running costs

Solar panels and appliances that use energy and water efficiently.

What clients say

Highly recommended

Ecoconstruct have completed two different renovation projects for me and I have been very impressed with their professionalism and the work that they did. They communicated well, arrived on time, and did a fabulous job. They thought about the right solution for my heritage apartment and … cleaned up after themselves. I would highly recommend Dave and ecoconstruct.

“As a testament to David Anstis’ desire to build “environmentally friendly”, this home certainly ticks all the boxes in terms of being healthy, modern and a piece of eye-candy on the side of the hill.”
